This is my first GDC and I have to say I’m pretty much blown away at the activity. The Intel booth has a lot going. There are about 21 demos including StarCraft II, Napoleon, Star Trek online, Cakewalk and most are showcasing how they’ve optimized performance and graphics for Intel architecture.
Here is a quick walk thru the booth about 45 minutes after the doors opened. It’s now 2:15 and it has not slowed down.
I’m very impressed with the number of people around the AppUp kiosk with developers signing up for the Atom Developer Program, TickerTape 3D particle demo on Intel Core i7-980x (Gulftown), and Napoleon Total war also running on the new Core i7-980x.
Lots of activity for the giveaways as well. The Visual Adrenaline Fan Challenge has folks hovering the Visual Adrenaline kiosk showing us photos they’ve posted to FaceBook and Twitter.
ISN-TV is also running LIVE here at the Intel booth. Pretty amazing. This is a clip of them getting started.
I was fortunate to be involved in 25 minute live segment with Michael Kasprzak the maker of Smiles which won the Atom Developer Challenge Most Innovative app award.
So it’s just gotten under way with the booth here. Feet already sore:-)
